Refund & Return Policy

1. Overview
Patisserie Au Soleil takes great pride in the freshness and quality of our baked goods. Because all items are made fresh to order and are perishable, we follow the refund and return guidelines below in accordance with California consumer protection laws.
2. Perishable Food Items (All Sales Final)
Under California law, perishable food items are not eligible for return, and therefore all sales are final once products have left our shop or have been delivered.
This applies to:
• Cakes
• Pies
• Pastries
• Macarons
• Cookies
• Brownies
• Any custom or made‑to‑order products
However, we will always work with you to address legitimate quality concerns (see Section 4).
3. Order Cancellations
Standard Orders
• May be canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time for a full refund or store credit.
Custom or Large Orders
• Custom cakes, multi‑tier cakes, large macaron orders, or specialty baked goods require 5 days’ notice to cancel.
• Deposits for custom work may be non‑refundable once preparation has begun or ingredients have been purchased.
Late Cancellations
• Cancellations made after the above timeframes may not be eligible for a refund.
4. Quality Issues or Incorrect Orders
If you believe there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery.
We may request:
• A description of the issue
• Photos of the product
• Proof of purchase
If we confirm an error or quality issue, we may offer one of the following at our discretion:
• A replacement item
• Store credit
• A partial or full refund
We cannot offer refunds for items that have been consumed beyond a reasonable amount or discarded before we can assess the concern.
5. Allergies & Special Requests
We work with common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, and gluten.
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of allergies before ordering.
We cannot provide refunds due to allergic reactions or missed allergen disclosures.
6. Unclaimed Orders
Any order not picked up within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time may be discarded.
No refund or credit will be issued.
7. Payment Method for Refunds
When refunds are issued, they will be returned to the original payment method.
Refunds may take 5–7 business days to appear depending on your bank.
